Aside from word of mouth, promoting yourself or your business is typically the only way a large target demographic will find out about your product or services have to offer. To help you advertise, I keep it pretty simple for the most part- I attend events, pass out flyers, create groups on the web for people to join, provide professional mailing lists, make prints if you already have material available, deliver stacks of various merchandise/freebies to shops, and the list goes on. Extensive, but can do one or all. Great for small businesses, artists, bands, and musicians!
